At the conclusion of 2015, ISD completed a significant change in leadership. Joseph F. Morin, the long-standing CEO of ISD, has officially retired.

Joseph was one of the founding ISD Principals. Joseph guided ISD over 20 successful years, helping a virtual Who’s Who of international firms achieve their process improvement goals.

Paul D. Byrnes, now the ISD President and CEO, talked about Joseph’s legacy with the company and our industry. “Joseph was a pioneer in helping establish the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) process improvement industry, starting from our initial spin-off from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) in 1994. He will be greatly missed in our niche consulting community, and we wish him all the best.”

BCBS 239 is available for import and usage in Appraisal Wizard. Appraisal Wizard users may conduct assessments or audits using this banking standard.

Appraisal Wizard V7.10 released and available to all customers on active software support.

The mapping of ISO 15288 to CMMI-DEV 1.3 as published by an NDIA working group is available for import into Model Mapper. The prerequisite for importing this map is that ISO 15288 has been purchased from ISD and imported into Model Wizard. There is no charge for the map.

This map provides appraisal wizard users the capability to copy evidence collected against ISO 15288 to appropriate portions of CMMI-DEV thereby saving time in collecting evidence for CMMI-DEV.

Appraisal Wizard may now be used for compliance checking with ISO 15288 and 15288.1 Either of these standards may be purchased from ISD and imported into the Appraisal Wizard database.

Appraisal Wizard now supports the CMMI Institute Data Management Maturity (DMM)℠ model.
