Paul Byrnes – Principal and CEO

Paul was the SEI CMM Based Appraisal (CBA) Project Leader prior to founding ISD in 1994. Responsible for developing all published versions of SCE and the initial CBA IPI method (V0.3). A principal developer of the CMM Appraisal Framework (CAF). Principal architect of ISD’s Comprehensive Appraisal Method (CAM); a draft version was an input method to SCAMPI V1.1. Paul was included in the 1995 Who’s Who in the East, the 1998 Who’s Who in Media and Communications, the 1999 Who’s Who in America, and the 2000 Who’s Who in the World. He is a CMMI Institute Certified High Maturity Lead Appraiser for multiple domains, and is also a Certified Instructor in all released licensed CMMI Institute training materials. He was in the US Air Force, and is a 1984 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.

Mike Simmons – Software Products and Services

Mike Simmons is CEO of MS Software, a software development company based in Tampa, FL. ISD outsources Appraisal Wizard maintenance, enhancement, and customer technical support to MS SW. Previously, Mike was VP of Software Products at ISD. Mike was the original developer of the Appraisal Wizard tool suite.
