Risk Assessment Evaluation Appraisals

Risk Assessment appraisals allow you to determine process gaps and risks in preparation for a subsequent formal Benchmark appraisal.

ISD recommends the risk assessment evaluation appraisal for organizations that need in-depth determination of process gaps and weaknesses without the establishment of a formal maturity or capability level rating. The risk assessment appraisal is used to measure improvement progress, and determine risks in achieving sponsor goals. They are therefore most appropriate for organizations continuing their of CMMI-based process improvement journey as a mid-point check on progress through the appraisal lifecycle.

ISD will conduct your risk assessment using our own Comprehensive Appraisal Method (CAM), a tailored version of the CMMI Benchmark method. Our approach results in a lower-impact version of the same basic steps outlined in the full Benchmark appraisal method:

Plan and Prepare	Identify organizational / model scope and appraisal team, Prepare for data collection, Train the appraisal team
Conduct	Collect, analyze and consolidate data
Report	Document and present results
